What with all the furore surrounding the telephone hacking claims made about the 'News of the World' perhaps the Government will finally stop the complete takeover of British Sky Broadcasting by News Corporation and Rupert Murdoch.
Previously they have shown themselves like usual politicians quite happy to give away power to unelected billionaires who can then subsequently control them quietly in the background. It is about time the tables were turned.
The agreed fudge for News Corp to sell of its majority share in Sky News to make up for this takeover is ridiculous. What private company would not want to sell this when it does not make a profit! Politicians are sometimes very stupid.
